Saskia’s fondness for inflection colors her intent for this song’s title and it’s multiple meanings. Mr. Gaasterland, boundless in wizardry transmuted it from Laroo’s former ol’-school up-funk by steeping it in a modern, EDM vibe. While it’s text may yearn to fix failed relations, derailed or aborted communications, while it may refer to persons, society, or world leaders, she also insists it can refer to re-instating the LP, hence, bringing songs back on track. Legend Joseph Bowie of Defunkt fame (no pun intended) brandishes his brass throughout, including a pas de deux with Laroo’s trumpet, whose wistful vocals inveigle our ears. Rapper MC Complex’s lyrics wield gravitas onto this opus.
