This ethnic breakbeat/jungle track by Saskia Laroo and Rob Gaasterland was kind of experimental in it's own right back in 1993/1994, combining different rhythmic patterns with samples of vocal outings stemming from different cultures around the globe. The title "DROP THAT HORN" says it already. Laroo doesn't play any horns here but has created the beats and song structure together with Gaasterland, who lays down smooth keyboard pads, lines, and solos. They were exploring original beat concepts with basic gear: an Atari computer, a sampler, some keyboards/synths, outboard effects, synced with an eight track, bounced into two.
